Conference Goals
The East Kalimantan Programme (EKP) aims to enhance and support long-term scientific cooperation in coastal zone research between research groups from Indonesia and the Netherlands. The main research topics of this conference are to distribute and discuss research on the Mahakam Delta, Berau Delta and Seagrass projects under the EKP and related projects.

Format
The conference was comprised of two days of interactive oral and poster sessions with all attendees required to contribute actively with ideas, research questions and current knowledge. An excursion to the Mahakam Delta on the third day allowed ideas generated during the conference to be discussed further in the field.
